Storm service

When it's coming,
someone's already there.

The Outer Banks gets hurricanes and nor'easters. Being 400 miles away when one lands is the worst part of owning here — this is the part we take off you.

Before the storm

An extra documented visit while the track firms up. Deck furniture, grills and anything loose brought in or stowed. Shutters deployed where fitted — or we let your shutter installers in and lock up after them. Drains and gutters cleared so water goes where it should. Photos sent before we leave, so you know it was done.

$95–150 flat, per named storm. Plan members go to the front of the line.

After the storm

We live here, so we're behind the roadblocks — at your house at the earliest safe access, usually the same day the roads reopen. You get a photographed condition report: roof, siding, decks, water intrusion and the yard, exactly as we found it, with everything timestamped for your insurer.

Post-storm condition report: $75–95.

We photograph and report what we observed — the conclusions belong to you, your insurer and your adjuster. We don't handle claims, and we'll never tell you a report is a substitute for your adjuster's visit.

Why it matters

The first 48 hours decide the claim.

Insurers want prompt notice and documentation of damage. Owners who can show dated, photographed before-and-after evidence get taken seriously. Owners who first see their house three weeks later, after the water has been sitting, do not.
